Greetings,

My name is Dr. Brian Shute, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, LMT.  I bring 40 years of experience serving our community, along with decades of continuing education in Speech-Language Pathology, Cognitive-Communicative Disorders, Teaching, and the Healing Arts and Sciences. I am a lifelong learner, and I integrate evidence-based traditional, contemporary, and holistic approaches in my practice.

I am licensed to evaluate and treat patients in Washington State and collaborate regularly with physicians and allied health specialists. Whether you are seeking ASHA-certified speech-language pathology services, medical and wellness myotherapy, consultation, or artificial larynx tuning—I stand ready to build a thoughtful and professional relationship with you.

Many of our patients include:

  • Adults recovering from brain injuries, including TBI, post-concussive syndrome, stroke, or aphasia
  • Individuals who stutter, clutter, or experience difficulties with speech fluency and rate
  • Adults with memory loss, attention problems, disorganization, sensory overload, or other cognitive issues
  • People experiencing voice disorders, paradoxical vocal fold movement, or living post-laryngectomy
  • Those navigating the cognitive-linguistic aftereffects of Long COVID
  • Individuals with soft tissue pain, such as back/neck tension or plantar fasciitis
  • Clients seeking myotherapy or integrative energy work for overall wellness

I invite you to call (509) 448-5970 to schedule a free telephone consultation. If speaking or voicing is difficult, you are welcome to email instead.

We are nestled in scenic South Spokane and offer both in-person and telehealth services for a wide range of adult communication and cognitive-communication needs.
